The Perinatal Pathology Course is the only course of its kind and is sponsored by the Society for Pediatric Pathology. The last offering of this course was in 2015 at the same location. This is a three-day course designed to provide training in topics in Perinatal Pathology, which is the study of diseases of the fetus, placenta and infant. The course is designed to cover Perinatal Autopsy topics the first day (Friday) and Placental Pathology topics on the second and third days (Saturday and Sunday). The breadth of topics in the course are ideal for trainees in Pathology, Neonatology or Obstetrics and Gynecology, but the course is taught by many well-known experts in the field and should also appeal to practicing Pathologist who work with these fascinating specimens.
