The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (DPLM) at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago invites applications for the position of Pediatric Pathologist.

This full-time, continuing position carries a primary faculty appointment at Northwestern University, at a rank and salary commensurate with experience and academic activity.

The candidate should be board certified in Anatomic Pathology and board certified or eligible in Pediatric Pathology.

Clinical responsibilities include the interpretation of pediatric surgical pathology and autopsy specimens. Teaching of residents, medical students, and fellows is an important part of our mission.

Lurie Children’s is a financially independent, multi-specialty, free-standing hospital that provides tertiary care pediatric services, with active programs in all pediatric specialties including infectious disease, hematology and oncology, stem cell and solid organ transplantation. It also offers a rapidly expanding research facility and vibrant research environment. The DPLM is noteworthy for its considerable strengths in both Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology, its strengths in computational pathology, and its leadership of a robust Precision Medicine initiative.
