Poorly Differentiated Transition

The first sign of tumor maturation starts with cytoplasmic and nuclear enlargement of the neuroblastic cells. During the process of tumor maturation, vast majority of the neuroblastic cells would undergo apoptosis and disappear (“dropping off”), and a relatively small number of the cells could remain on their way of differentiation towards the differentiating neuroblasts.
