Case Report Award

 
This award will be presented at the Society for Pediatric Pathology Fall Meeting.  It is based upon submitted case report abstracts to the meetings.  These case report abstracts have the same deadline and submission requirements (including word count) as regular abstracts and are submitted through the abstract database.
 
The award is open to any presenter including medical students, pathologists-in-training, junior or senior pathologists, and clinical or basic science investigators. No formal application or nominations are necessary.
 
This award holds a value of $250.00.
 
Eligibility Criteria

  • Enrollment in an ACGME (or equivalent recognized) medical school, pathology residency, or pediatric and/or perinatal pathology fellowship or a junior or senior pathologist, clinical or basic science investigator
  • Is the first author of the case report.
  • Is the presenter of the case report.
  • Exceptions to the eligibility criteria may be made by the research and awards committee chair in consultation with the awards subcommittee chair.

Note:
The same case can be submitted for this award that is submitted for the Resident Recruitment award. The Resident Recruitment award submissions and case reports for the meeting have different page/word limits and will be judged separately. Those who receive the concurrent year’s resident recruitment awards can still present at the case report session, but will not be eligible for the case report award.
